Back to form with a 2nd place in the laddies breakfast club 40$ freezout - working 11pm - 9am this weekend so can't play any decent evening tourneys and as the BC starts not long after I get in I thought i'd give it a go. Just seemed to accumulate chips and never risked my tourney until there were 6 left and even then I got them in way ahead. With 3 left I had half the chips and by the time we were HU I was about 60/40 chippy - HU lasted ages - at least 30 mins - and I can't count the amount of times I won by strong bets or raises with nothing at all as cards were hard to come by.

525$ for 2nd which is a nice boost and hopefully the start of a good run - although I won't be playing much this weekend due to work.

Still running bad - lost all I had on Laddies and deposited 325$ - lost that and am now using another 325 - total deposit 650 since i last posted.
Not the end of the world - probably stillslightly up or around even for the year but still a step back.

No real reason for the losses - been spending too much on sats. Been playing badly some of the time - pretty distracted by a lot of things at the moment so not giving it 100 percent. Still mostly getting them in ahead though - couple of FTs in the 3K 10 rebuy but no big cashes.

Can't play much this weekend - working nights - so hopefully will get the odd stt in and buikd up some cash to play with.

Very bad run lately - won't go into details as i've blocked a lot of it out of my mind :-).

Lost a load back thinking I was invincible on turbo stt's then the rest of my roll just disappeared on various mtt's. Still getting my chips in ahead though so i'm sure things will turn around.

Deposited 450$ on laddies so with the full moon tonight hopefully my luck will change and i'll win a few races although i'd settle just for not being outdrawn.

Pretty crap day really. Came nowhere in a 15$ horse tourney and couldn't win an stt all afternoon so the bankroll is going way down on laddies.

Played the 100k on stars but went out towards the end of the second hour when AK lost to K8 - he had less chips but the damage was done and I was out soon after.

Satted to the 100k on laddies as well but after rebuying and adding on I went out 123/515 - had 6 bb's left - getting low and went all in from the button with AK - SB had Tens and I was out - if I hit there i'm up to about 65/123 with a good chance of making the money.

Not playing badly but can't face playing any more tonight.

Played a few tourneys saturday night - got into the 8K gtd 50$ 2nd chance for 5$ but went out about 30/100 - played badly and made a horrible call then rivered some guy who wasn't happy.

10$ horse tourney came about 40/200.

Came 12th from about 200 in the 10 rebuy on laddies for 47$ - pushed from mid position when 6 handed with AQ and didn't improve against JJ - if i'd won the race i'd have had a stack on the FT - was either that or sneak on with a low stack. Qualified for the GY via a 3$ sat but crashed out early. I'm calling too often trying to hit at the moment - nothing really stupid but enough to lose me chips early on and it's hard to recover afterwards.

Got sunday off so will be plying various sats and tourneys all day. Hopefully can win a bit on the stt's because the last couple of days haven't been too good on there.

Just the wsop league last night and I hung around for a couple of hours until I got KK and with one caller to my raise I threw them in on a J high flop - he had pocket JJ. Can't see how I could have got away from it really. Other team members were even more unlucky with KK into AA and QQ losing to JJ the highlights.

Tonight I played the PP freeroll with over 900 runners and with 163 left I needed to muff or steal the blinds but went all in from button with K9 and only 3400 stack blinds 300/600. Ran into KK.

Got completely muffed in a 10$ HORSE tourney - got them in well ahead in the 2nd round of omaha - nut flush with no low hand and matey calling all the way with 2 pair hits FH on river - at least I can't blame myself for that one. Played the sats to the 50$ and 75$ freezouts on laddies but didn't get a seat and can't really justify buying in.

Just had a delivery of herbal cigarette tobacco so not too worried though.

Working late tonight so only played the 10 rebuy on laddies - going along fine - was about 30/51 with just under average stack - 15BB's and when a table muppted went all in from SB to my BB I called - we had similar stack - his 67 beat my KQ.

Wasn't that bothered about going out as I seem to be doing better on the turbo stt's in terms of making money and with my new reasonable sleep pattern i'm getting too tired playing later tourney's. Still probably shouldn't have called but on the other hand I got them in ahead. Losing the patience fot mtt's but that will probably change when I get more time.

Nothing to do with poker but i've had a bit of luck on the horses the last couple of days - ended up with 280 quid in my account from an initial deposit of not very much so withdrew 180. Don't think i've kept an exact record of my bets but tat puts me up for the year - I don't bet much, just the odd footy bet usually.

Apart from that i'm still playing the turbo stt's on laddies - the plan is to get up to 1000$ then withdraw 500

Woke up at 10:30am today - about 5 hours early for me - and didn't fancy any mtt's so spent about 6 hours playing 6 pays 3 turbos - 20 and 30 dollars on laddies - went to work for 3 hours then put another 2 hours in - too tired and seem to have lost interest in mtt for the moment. Result of all this was the bankroll going from 290$ to 620$. 330$ profit not a bad day's work. Probably just got lucky but will try this again as if I can make even half that per day it could be a nice little earner.

Last night was pretty poor - out of the stars hundred grand early when I got involved in a blind war - had 77 on a 6J6 flop and found out the hard way that he had the J. KK lost early on in the 10 rebuy on laddies so decided not to bother chsing the loss. played a couple of sats to bigger tournies on laddies and was on a bit of a tilt so played a 50$ turbo stt. Lost with AA v KK but still wasn't a good idea to play it. Played an 18 seater 30$ stt on stars but came 6th with 4 paid and a 3 rebuy that I was too tired to play. So bankrolls going down in all directions so today's plan is turbo ten pays 3 stts to boost the laddies bankroll.

No joy last night - played the 10 rebuy on stars but got nowhere. Also played a 30$ horse tourney and again played well - came 19/110 with 16 paid. Would have been a different story if my JJ had held up in the 3rd round of holdem - hit set on turn but got flushed out on the river. It's a game of outdraws and shit happens.

Only 2 tourneys on laddies - got into the 8K gtd 50$ 2nd chance for 5$ but came about 50th from 120. Also played the 10 rebuy but went out towards the end of the 2nd hour.

Bankroll down to about 450 on stars now - won about 60$ this afternoon on laddies playing turbo stt's so that's some mtt buyins for tonight after work anyway.

Haven't played many mtt's since I cashed out that 350 which left me with 500$ on laddies. Played a few stt's and a bit of cash and after buying into the wsop team event (bad week no points scored - some vul cards though - one guy outdrawn twice on the river and QQ and KK both running into AA for others) I was still left with 500 so must have won a bit on cash - seemed like I was leaving the table about 20 percent up about 4 sessions from 5 regardless of which level i played at so i must be up.

Anyway - friday afternoon and I have a whole day's poker ahead of me so lets see which way the cookie is crumbling.

Been playing suicide poker all afternoon - seem to have lost the edge that I've had the last couple of weeks. Played the ten rebuy on stars with over 600 runners and 90 paid - no rebuy or add on and with 120 left i was about 108th when I got involved in a blind war. Managed to convince myself the SB had nothing and when he made a small bet after the flop i reasoned that he would need a good hand to call 2/3 of his stack with to my all in. Quite a loose call from him with bottom pair but he was ahead of my gutshot and I was out. Very similar story in the 10 rebuy on laddies - not as deep into the game but i raised from the button and the sb who had been loose but had a good stack re raised me. I put him on a wide range and took a chance with my K9 soooooooooooooooooooted but failed to beat his tens. Basically I took 2 chances I didn't need to take and got punished each time. I fthey had come off it would have been a different story though. Also played an 8$ short handed freeze on laddies but got no cards and lost my first race.

Only other tourney is a 15$ horse with 88 runners and 8 paid. Just coming to the end of the 2nd hour and i'm 14/21. Need to pick a hand and go with it and if it holds up i could get in the cash. Out 16th - JJ in hold em - thought I was doubling with J on turn but river gave the other guy a flush - good performance though.

Had a break for a couple of hours and came back to play the 20$ rebuy on laddies. I don't play this often due to work and remembered why I don't like it when I realised it is 12 mins blinds. No cards for first 30 mins so rebought to get above average stack then won a couple of hands and was up to 10 k chips after nearly 2 hours. Then I got 10 10 in the cutoff and raise 3200 - blinds 400/800. Got pushed back at by the button who had been involved a lot. I'm thinking that with the 12 min blinds I might as well get them in when I think i'm ahead and he may be bluffing or weaker - either way i'm only behind to 4 hands. He has AK and hits. Was really annoyed with myself but not sure I would play it differently given the same circumstances.

Then played the forum game - 27 runners but my favourite game of the week as it's usually played in the right spirit and the 15 min blinds and big stacks give everyone a chance to play poker. Not much action until after the break when I get QQ and raise 4xBB from early position - guy next to me raises up 4 times what I raise and i go for the timebank. I know he is a good tight aggressive player and after a goodminute I lay down QQ. He shows KK and I can honestly say I got a bigger buzz from that than from most hands I win. I've often layed it down on a 3 way all in but rarely to one guy. A bit later I find AK and push all in to an early position raise from a looser player - I never know what she's got but she had been quite shocked by my QQ fold earlier and I was hoping that would be enough for her to fold. Instead she made a good call with JJ and I missed my race. All the hands that held up last week when I was running well are now not doing so and I can't win a race.

Instead of tilting on cash i've entered the 25 freezout which will be my last tourny today as i am up early so if I get anything from it it will be a bonus from a losing day.

Haven't updated much lately - probably because i've had no significant wins or cashes. Been playing a bit of cash and STT though and found that my bankroll on laddies had gone up to 850$ so withdrew 350 which puts me probably quite well up for the year but I can't be bothered trawling through my old blog posts to do the sums.
Tourney play has gone a bit stale after that good run and i'm not playing on the top of my game. Got a lot of work on at the moment too so playing less will not be a bad thing although I will still have plenty time to play - just no 14 hours sessions. I will try and play sensible at low limit cash and try and build the roll up a bit that way.

Four tourneys tonight and not happy with any of them. Also played a couple of 4$ turbo sats to the sunday million on stars but got nowhere.

First up was the 50$ 8k Gtd freezout on laddies - using the winnings from last night's GY. 140 runners - ten paid. This was quite an uneventful tourney but with 45 left I found AA and ended up in a 3 way all in v KK and 55. The 55 won it of course and instead of being about 15/45 I was out. Been a while since AA lost for me so can't complain. Well I can, but I won't.

Next up was the 3.5K Gtd 10 rebuy on Laddies. Over 200 runners and I was about 18/30 with 20 paid. Hung in and was 18/22 with two low stacks when I did something that i'm still not sure about. I had K10 in the SB. blinds had just gone up to 1500/3000 and I had 15K left. We were playing 7 handed because there were only 22 lzft on 3 tables. Folded round to me and the BB is the big stack who has ben quite tight for someone with such a huge stack - calling all ins but not with any old crap. I figure that 6 times from 10 he folds, 3 times he calls from behind, and once from ahead. What I mean is that my shove all in in is a winning move long term. Not this time obviously because he had AA.

Going out so close to the bubble annoyed me and unfortunately when I looked on stars to enter something on tilt I entered a 100$ HORSE tourney. 40 runners 5 paid. Finished 8/40 so not too annoyed - better than spunking it all on cash like I did last night (100$ on laddies in about 30 mins)

Only other one was the GY. 70 runners tonight and I hit the FT - think thats something ridiculous like 7 FT's from last 8 entries to GY. Anyway I got to the FT about 6th in chips but with 3 guys very low stacked. Then I get AQ UTG. I flat call and there are 3 others in the pot. 10 J 10 flop and everyone checks. Turn is K giving me the straight. Flush draw is there but thinking i'm ahead I bet about 1/4 my stack. Get called by one guy. River is something like the 2c so no flush. I bet and matey turns over pocket tens. Wouldn't mind but he had shown himself to be a weak saturday nighter who can't play tourneys without cards. Was going to ladder to 7th with some guys V low stacked but got AK very soon after with 2BB's left and lost to 87 off. 9th place got me a bit back but still a losing day.

On the bright side no-one's totted up the scores yet butI think i'm well ahead in the forum football tipster comp.

quuick update - again went to cash tables after those shenanegans but managed to leave while 80 up this time.

Just a quick update before i forget - played just the forum game and the ten rebuy so far on laddies - out early in the forum game - 5 seater for a change but couldn't get going and didn't hit a thing. Out before I could get going in the ten rebuy - halfway through the second hour I wanted a race and QQ lost to AK.

Just finished playing a ten rebuy on stars cost me 30$ - finished 124/1983 for $95 so not too bad - was about 3/4 way down the field and pushed all in with 99 but ran into 10's.

Only played 2 other tourneys - 25$ freezout on stars - did ok but dwindled out in the 2nd hour about 400/1600 with 280 paid.

Again the GY was my saviour on laddies - 87 runners tonight as it's saturday and a few more muffers than usual to get through. Started well with a set of queens against a guy who thought his top pair (k) with J kicker was good. Was ok until 2 tables left when i was 13/20 which with a few action hands turned into 13/15 very quickly. Stayed in though - with 11 left we were waiting for a discod guy to go out - another round and we were on FT. got QQ at this point and when someone went all in i thought fk the bubble and called. Beat A5 and was suddenly 6/10 on FT. There was a huge chippy on FT and I managed to outlast everyone but him finishing 2nd for 696$.
