Haven't played many mtt's since I cashed out that 350 which left me with 500$ on laddies. Played a few stt's and a bit of cash and after buying into the wsop team event (bad week no points scored - some vul cards though - one guy outdrawn twice on the river and QQ and KK both running into AA for others) I was still left with 500 so must have won a bit on cash - seemed like I was leaving the table about 20 percent up about 4 sessions from 5 regardless of which level i played at so i must be up.

Anyway - friday afternoon and I have a whole day's poker ahead of me so lets see which way the cookie is crumbling.

Been playing suicide poker all afternoon - seem to have lost the edge that I've had the last couple of weeks. Played the ten rebuy on stars with over 600 runners and 90 paid - no rebuy or add on and with 120 left i was about 108th when I got involved in a blind war. Managed to convince myself the SB had nothing and when he made a small bet after the flop i reasoned that he would need a good hand to call 2/3 of his stack with to my all in. Quite a loose call from him with bottom pair but he was ahead of my gutshot and I was out. Very similar story in the 10 rebuy on laddies - not as deep into the game but i raised from the button and the sb who had been loose but had a good stack re raised me. I put him on a wide range and took a chance with my K9 soooooooooooooooooooted but failed to beat his tens. Basically I took 2 chances I didn't need to take and got punished each time. I fthey had come off it would have been a different story though. Also played an 8$ short handed freeze on laddies but got no cards and lost my first race.

Only other tourney is a 15$ horse with 88 runners and 8 paid. Just coming to the end of the 2nd hour and i'm 14/21. Need to pick a hand and go with it and if it holds up i could get in the cash. Out 16th - JJ in hold em - thought I was doubling with J on turn but river gave the other guy a flush - good performance though.

Had a break for a couple of hours and came back to play the 20$ rebuy on laddies. I don't play this often due to work and remembered why I don't like it when I realised it is 12 mins blinds. No cards for first 30 mins so rebought to get above average stack then won a couple of hands and was up to 10 k chips after nearly 2 hours. Then I got 10 10 in the cutoff and raise 3200 - blinds 400/800. Got pushed back at by the button who had been involved a lot. I'm thinking that with the 12 min blinds I might as well get them in when I think i'm ahead and he may be bluffing or weaker - either way i'm only behind to 4 hands. He has AK and hits. Was really annoyed with myself but not sure I would play it differently given the same circumstances.

Then played the forum game - 27 runners but my favourite game of the week as it's usually played in the right spirit and the 15 min blinds and big stacks give everyone a chance to play poker. Not much action until after the break when I get QQ and raise 4xBB from early position - guy next to me raises up 4 times what I raise and i go for the timebank. I know he is a good tight aggressive player and after a goodminute I lay down QQ. He shows KK and I can honestly say I got a bigger buzz from that than from most hands I win. I've often layed it down on a 3 way all in but rarely to one guy. A bit later I find AK and push all in to an early position raise from a looser player - I never know what she's got but she had been quite shocked by my QQ fold earlier and I was hoping that would be enough for her to fold. Instead she made a good call with JJ and I missed my race. All the hands that held up last week when I was running well are now not doing so and I can't win a race.

Instead of tilting on cash i've entered the 25 freezout which will be my last tourny today as i am up early so if I get anything from it it will be a bonus from a losing day.
