Hmm not a great day so far. Wasted about 120$ trying to satellite to the daddy tourney on Ladbrokes. Glad I withdrew some as I obviously can't be trusted with any sort of bankroll. Don't really mind about that - got to try these things and I was doing it with money that I won.
Bit pissed off about the 20 rebuy - got through the first hour without rebuying and was just under average stack when I found KK in the BB. One caller from mid position so when the SB limped in I bet out 4XBB - original caller calls and the SB folds. Low flop with 2 hearts on it - I bet the pot and he comes over the top - we are all in and he shows a flush draw with J10. He didn't hit the flush draw but with a 10 on the turn and another 10 on the river he got away with risking his tourney - he had only very slightly more chips than me and I was out instead of being right in the mix.
Not going to play until the big player point freeroll later - probably a waste of time as there's likely to be over 2000 runners with 135 places paid but unless you play cash games on ladbrokes there's nothing else you can use them for so might as well play it.
Busted out early with JJ on a low flop V aslow played AA - bloody cash players.
Played the ten rebuy on stars - no rebuy - and was just started to get into it when I busted out on the last hand of the 2nd hour - made a smallish raise with 33 and was called by the BB who checked the K high flop. He was either trapping me or missed the flop and hoping for the latter I shove them in. He had missed the flop but hit his flush draw on the river and I was out about 600th from 1700 odd.
Playing a 3$ horse tourney and the ten rebuy on laddies. Out midway through the HORSE - very tired and it showed as I was staying in pots too long without being sure I was ahead - pretty bad in limit games.
Ten rebuy was dull so just before the break I rebought and added on to give myself a reasonable stack for the start of the second hour. Built it up slowly and surely tyhen got pocket tens on the button. BB comes back all in and as has half my stack I go for a race. Was more like a race from the special olympics as he showed QQ which dented my stack. Started shoving them in with anything better than AJ or 88 upwards and as the blinds were relatively high and my stack just enough to put off loose callers I picked up a lot of blinds and was about 30/60 at one point. Then got moved table and was stuck between the 3 biggest stacks in the tourney - one to my right and 2 to my left so opportunities were limited. Picked up the odd pot here and there though and got to the cash (20 paid) with about 6BB'S left. Loosened up considerably after that - called with KQ suited UTG but had to fold to 2 raises. Then limped from the SB with 4 callers with KJ but missed the flop. This left me with about 4BBs and needing to double 2 or 3 times to have any chance of a stack at the FT. Shoved them in with 33 but the BB had AJ and that was that. 16/183 not bad but 30$ investment only got me 42 back. Better than a kick in the teeth with a moist eel.
Got into the GY for 20$ and heading to the end of the first hour there are only 34 left from 64 - i'm sitting 28th after missing every flop - JJ first hand and folded with KQ on flop after 2 callers to my 4xBB raise. Also had AA in the BB very early and all folded to it. :-( Still got time to find a hand though so fingers crossed.
Doubled up before the break and was about 15/30 going into what is always a tough second hour. Managed to steal in the right places and take pots when I had no cards.
With 12 left it was tough as usual - very difficult to act first in a pot but took my chances and although I was 8/10 going into the final table I still had 10 bb's so felt confident. One guy went out straight away then I found AQ in the BB. All fold to the SB who had been stealing all game. He turns over A5 and we're ok until the river where he hits his straight. Out in 9th from 64 runners for 76$. At least I got them in ahead and the bankroll could be looking worse after this afternoon's satellite shenanegins. Back up to 200$
